Barcelona, the country’s second-largest city, is a cosmopolitan urban center known for its throbbing youthful energy and stellar architecture.
Kids will enjoy Basilica of the Sagrada Familia and Casa Mila - La Pedrera. Next up on the itinerary: walk around Parc Guell, enjoy the sand and surf at Playa de La Barceloneta, ponder the design of The Magic Fountain, and don't miss a visit to Las Ramblas.

Majorca, or Mallorca, is largest island in the Balearic Islands archipelago.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Cuevas del Drach and Alcudia Old Town. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Palma de Mallorca: Playa de Muro (in Playa de Muro) and Playa de Alcudia (in Port d'Alcudia). There's lots more to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Catedral de Mallorca, don't miss a visit to Placa Major Mallorca, observe the fascinating underwater world at Palma Aquarium, and cool off at Katmandu Park.

Traveling by flight from Barcelona to Palma de Mallorca takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can ride a ferry; or do a combination of ferry and bus. In July, daily temperatures in Palma de Mallorca can reach 36°C, while at night they dip to 22°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 12th (Sun) to allow enough time to travel to Valencia.

Madrid is known for its cultural and artistic heritage, lively nightlife, and a dynamic culinary scene.
On the 16th (Thu), admire the masterpieces at Royal Palace of Madrid, then browse the eclectic array of goods at Mercado San Miguel, and then examine the collection at Prado National Museum. Keep things going the next day: see the interesting displays at Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza and then steep yourself in history at Plaza Mayor.

Traveling by train from Valencia to Madrid takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or drive. Expect somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Valencia in July: highs in Madrid hover around 40°C, while lows dip to 23°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 17th (Fri) early enough to catch the train back home.
