Emptiness surrounds the desert outpost of Uyuni, the gateway to the world's largest salt flats.
Start off your visit on the 10th (Wed): head off the coast to Isla Incahuasi and then take in the dramatic natural features at Salar de Uyuni. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: hike along Senda Andina and then see the interesting displays at Train Cemetery.
