Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Sun): appreciate the extensive heritage of Piazza San Marco, examine the collection at Doge's Palace, then take in panoramic vistas at St Mark's Campanile, and finally admire the striking features of Basilica di San Marco. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: take in the spiritual surroundings of Chiesa del Santissimo Redentore, admire the masterpieces at Peggy Guggenheim Collection, then take a stroll through Campo del Ghetto, then examine the collection at Museo Ebraico di Venezia, and finally explore the activities along Canal Grande.

Traveling by train from Venice to Florence takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. In July in Florence, expect temperatures between 35°C during the day and 21°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Wed) so you can drive to Assisi.

Best known for its celebrated terraced gardens, Ravello is a hidden gem of Italy's Amalfi Coast.
We've included these beaches for you: Spiaggia di castiglione and Spiaggia Lannio. Get out of town with these interesting Ravello side-trips: Positano (Fornillo & Bagni d'Arienzo Beach Club, Positano), Il Gusto della Costa (in Praiano) and Le Vigne di Raito (in Vietri sul Mare).
