Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to Lima is an approximately 8- hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. The time zone changes from Brasilia Standard Time (BRT) to Peru Standard Time (PET), which is usually a -2 hour difference. Traveling from Rio de Janeiro in February, expect Lima to be a bit cooler, temps between 82°F and 70°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 6th (Thu) early enough to travel to Puno.

Start off your visit on the 7th (Fri): head off the coast to Taquile Island, then stroll the grounds of Sillustani, then explore the activities along Lake Titicaca, and finally see the interesting displays at Museo Carlos Dreyer. Traveling by combination of flight and bus from Lima to Puno takes 4 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and train; or drive. When traveling from Lima in February, plan for little chillier days in Puno, with highs around 64°F, while nights are colder with lows around 40°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Sat) to allow enough time to travel to Ollantaytambo.
