Fira, the busy capital of Santorini, sits on the very edge of a volcanic caldera.
Museum-lovers will get to explore Monastery of Profitis Ilias and Cultural Village. Get some cultural insight at Venetsanos Winery and Artemis Karamolegos Winery. Step out of Fira with an excursion to Waterskiing & Jetskiing in Perivolos--about 38 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: take an unforgettable tour with a helicopter tour, do a tasting at Domaine Sigalas, soothe aching muscles at some of the top local wellness centers, and discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour.

Curitiba, Brazil to Fira is an approximately 21-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight. You'll lose 5 hours traveling from Curitiba to Fira due to the time zone difference. When traveling from Curitiba in August, plan for a bit warmer days and much hotter nights in Fira: temperatures range from 36°C by day to 28°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Sat) early enough to ride a ferry to Naxos.

Zeus, the master of all gods from Greek mythology, allegedly grew up in a cave on Naxos, a small but fertile island in the South Aegean Sea.
Start off your visit on the 11th (Sun): take a peaceful walk through Alyko Dimou Naxou, view the masterpieces at Fish & Olive, look for gifts at Naxia Gi, examine the collection at Distillery M. G. Vallindras Eirini Frangoudaki, then examine the collection at Eggares Olive Press Museum, and finally delve into the distant past at Temple of Apollo. On the next day, stroll through Maragas Beach, then kick back and relax at Kastraki Beach, and then pause for some serene contemplation at Panagia Drossiani Church.

Traveling by ferry from Fira to Naxos takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly. Expect a daytime high around 34°C in August, and nighttime lows around 27°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 12th (Mon) to allow enough time to ride a ferry to Rethymnon.
