Cultural capital of South America, Buenos Aires remains one of the largest cities on the continent, serving as a point of departure for exploring the rest of the country.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes and Parque 3 de Febrero. You'll explore and learn at Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires and Basilica de Nuestra Senora Del Pilar. Often called the "End of the World" because of its position on the southernmost tip of South America, the expanding city of Ushuaia serves as both a busy commercial port and attractive tourist hub.
Start off your visit on the 17th (Wed): kick back and relax at Playa Larga, identify plant and animal life at Cerro Alarken Nature Reserve, and then enjoy some diversion at Museo Maritimo y del Presidio de Ushuaia. On the next day, get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour.

Traveling by flight from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia takes 5.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of car and ferry; or take a bus. Prepare for cooler weather when traveling from Buenos Aires in April: high temperatures in Ushuaia hover around 10°C and lows are around 4°C. When traveling from El Calafate in April, plan for warmer days and a bit warmer nights in Mendoza: temperatures range from 26°C by day to 13°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Tue) so you can travel to Iguazu National Park.
