Founded when gold was discovered in the area in the late 19th century, Johannesburg quickly grew into a bustling metropolis, South Africa's largest city and the region's economic hub.
On the 6th (Sun), examine the collection at Apartheid Museum, gain interesting insight with Constitution Hill, and then view the masterpieces at I was shot in Joburg. On the 7th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: contemplate the long history of Mandela House and then identify plant and animal life at Wildlife Areas.

One of Africa's largest game sanctuaries and part of UNESCO's Man and the Biosphere Program, Kruger National Park provides an immersive experience of wildlife.
Get in touch with nature at Kruger National Park and Idube Game Reserve. Spend the 9th (Wed) surrounded by wildlife at Game drives at Phalaborwa Gate in Kruger National Park. There's still lots to do: trek along Lonely Bull Trail and get great views at Nkumbe View Site.
