With plenty of modern casinos, well-developed beaches, chic restaurants, and upscale hotels, Punta del Este vacations draw visitors from Argentina, Brazil, and beyond.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Playa Brava and Ralli Museum. You'll explore and learn at Museo del Mar and Museo – Taller de Casapueblo. Change things up with a short trip to Playa de Jose Ignacio in Jose Ignacio (about 48 minutes away). There's still lots to do: admire the masterpieces at Museo Taller de Casapueblo, steep yourself in history at La Azotea de Haedo, head outdoors with Paracaidismo Uru, and pause for some serene contemplation at Capilla San Rafael.

Sao Paulo, Brazil to Punta del Este is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and bus; or drive. Prepare for slightly colder weather when traveling from Sao Paulo in October: high temperatures in Punta del Este hover around 20°C and lows are around 15°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Wed) to allow time to take a bus to Montevideo.
