Venice of the North

Known as one of the greatest small cities in the world, Amsterdam charms visitors with its cool and cozy atmosphere.

Valletta, Malta to Amsterdam is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and train; or take a bus. Traveling from Valletta in February, things will get a bit cooler in Amsterdam: highs are around 7°C and lows about 0°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 9th (Wed) so you can go by car to Rotterdam.

Located in the South Holland province, Rotterdam is one of the Netherlands' most lively cities, as well as one of the largest trading ports in the world.
Get out of town with these interesting Rotterdam side-trips: Efteling (in Kaatsheuvel), Bottle Distillery (in Eindhoven) and Reptile House De Aarde Breda (in Breda).
