Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
On the 10th (Tue), explore the ancient world of Colosseum, then explore the ancient world of Palatine Hill, then take a stroll through Trastevere, and finally ponder the design of Trevi Fountain. On the 11th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: admire the striking features of Pantheon, then get to know the fascinating history of Piazza Navona, then admire the masterpieces at Vatican Museums, and finally steep yourself in history at St. Peter's Basilica.

Recife, Brazil to Rome is an approximately 15.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 4 hours traveling from Recife to Rome. Start off your visit on the 14th (Sat): shop like a local with San Marco 801, make a trip to Peggy Guggenheim Collection, then wander the streets of Campo del Ghetto, then contemplate the waterfront views at Canal Grande, and finally wander the streets of Cannaregio.
