Known for its impressive hillside cascade of colorful stone buildings down to the Mediterranean shore, Amalfi is the cultural and commercial heart of southern Italy's Amalfi Coast.
Start off your visit on the 26th (Sun): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Duomo di Ravello and then take in nature's colorful creations at Villa Cimbrone Gardens. Keep things going the next day: make a trip to Fiordo di Furore, take in the pleasant sights at Sentiero degli dei (Path of the Gods), pause for some serene contemplation at Santuario della Madonna del Rosario, then admire the local landmark of Fontana sant'Andrea, then step off the mainland to explore Li Galli, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo di Sant'Andrea.

Getting from Ercolano to Amalfi by car takes about an hour. Other options: do a combination of subway and taxi; or do a combination of train and bus.
