The most well-known city in the Algarve, Faro boasts a cliffside location with popular beaches and a thriving cultural scene.
Visit Precious Time and Igreja de Sao Pedro Goncalves Telmo for their historical value. Relax by the water at Praia de Cacela Velha and Cabanas de Tavira Beach. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Faro: Tavira (Praia do Barril & Jardim do Coreto). There's still lots to do: stroll around Ria Formosa, add some adventure to your tour with a kayaking and canoeing tour, take in the spiritual surroundings of Igreja de Santa Barbara de Nexe, and explore by horseback at Clube Equestre A Palmeirinha.

Toronto, Canada to Faro is an approximately 10.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of ferry and flight. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time (EST) to Western European Time (WET), which is usually a 5 hour difference. You can drive from Faro to Lagos in 1.5 hours. Other options are to take a train; or take a bus. In April, daily temperatures in Lagos can reach 24°C, while at night they dip to 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Tue) so you can drive to Evora.

Built on seven hills, Lisbon has experienced a renaissance in recent years, making it the cultural star of Portugal.
Popular historic sites such as Quinta da Regaleira and Igreja Paroquial De Sao Pedro De Sintra are in your itinerary. Get a sense of the local culture at Belém Tower and Castelo dos Mouros. Change things up with a short trip to Park and National Palace of Pena in Sintra (about 44 minutes away).
