Built on seven hills, Lisbon has experienced a renaissance in recent years, making it the cultural star of Portugal.
Start off your visit on the 25th (Thu): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, then wander the streets of Belém Tower, then observe the fascinating underwater world at Lisbon Oceanarium, and finally make a trip to Praca do Comercio (Terreiro do Paco). Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 26th (Fri): take in nature's colorful creations at Quinta da Regaleira, snap pictures at Ponte 25 de Abril, then wander the streets of Alfama, and finally step into the grandiose world of Castelo de S. Recife, Brazil to Lisbon is an approximately 10.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight. The time zone difference moving from Brasilia Time (BRT) to Western European Time (WET) is 3 hours. Expect a bit cooler evenings in Lisbon when traveling from Recife in July, with lows around 20°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 26th (Fri) to allow time to drive to Lagos.
