While traveling from Uruguaiana, expect slightly colder days and about the same nights in Buenos Aires, ranging from highs of 17°C to lows of 10°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 4th (Thu) so you can travel to Mendoza.

The time zone changes from Argentine Time (ART) to Chile Time (CLT), which is usually a -1 hour difference. Finish your sightseeing early on the 9th (Tue) to allow enough time to take a bus to Valparaiso.

Major archeological sites and a renowned museum remain the big draws in San Pedro de Atacama tourism, appealing to visitors interested in learning more about South America's pre-Columbian cultures.
Go for a jaunt from San Pedro de Atacama to Antofagasta to see Salar de Atacama about 1h 35 min away. There's still lots to do: explore the striking landscape at Valle De La Luna, identify plant and animal life at Salar de Tara, make a trip to Aldea de Tulor, and see the interesting displays at Father Le Paige Museum.

Traveling by combination of shuttle and flight from Valparaiso to San Pedro de Atacama takes 6.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of shuttle, flight, and bus; or drive. Traveling from Valparaiso in July, expect nights in San Pedro de Atacama to be slightly colder, around 0°C, while days are a bit warmer, around 25°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 15th (Mon) to allow enough time to travel back home.
