On the 10th (Wed), admire the sheer force of Godafoss, then look for gifts at Flora, Akureyri, and then get up close to creatures of the deep with a dolphin and whale watching tour. Nestled in a narrow strip of land between the sea and the glacier, Hof remains best known for its 1883 turf church--the last of its kind to be built in the old Icelandic style of architecture.
Step off the beaten path and head to Skaftafell National Park and Nature & Wildlife Tours. Take a break from the city and head to Svartifoss Waterfall and Diamond Beach. Step out of Hof to go to Jokulsarlon and see Jokulsarlon Lagoon, which is approximately 30 minutes away.
