Step off the beaten path and head to Castelo dos Mouros and Cabo da Roca. Visit Quinta da Regaleira and Belém Tower for their historical value. When in Lisbon, make a side trip to see Park and National Palace of Pena in Sintra, approximately 44 minutes away. There's still lots to do: make a trip to Jeronimos Monastery, take an in-depth tour of Carmo Archaeological Museum, and contemplate the long history of Castelo de S. Jorge.
