A lovely town easily accessible from almost anywhere in the country, Sorrento overlooks the Bay of Naples and sits right on the Amalfi Drive.
Head to Ceramiche Cosmolena di Margherita di Palma and Ceramiche d'Arte Carmelafor plenty of shopping. Relax by the water at Spiaggia di castiglione and Lido di Ravello. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Sorrento: Ravello (Duomo di Ravello & Ravello Arte), Fornillo (in Positano) and Libreria Antiquaria Vecchi Libri (in Salerno). Next up on the itinerary: explore the ancient world of Paestum Ruins, take in the spiritual surroundings of Cloister del Paradiso, take in the exciting artwork at Marcello Aversa Studio d'Arte, and shop like a local with Miniaci Art Gallery.

On the 30th (Mon), get outside with Circolo Ippico Malepezza, then pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Santa Caterina d'Alessandria, and then stop by Olio Merico. On the 31st (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: don't miss a visit to Cattedrale Di Otranto and then get to know the fascinating history of Centro Storico Otranto.

Built surrounding a 16th-century fortified port, Alghero remains one of Sardinia's most visited sites, rich in cultural and historical heritage.
On the 1st (Wed), see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour, then enjoy the sand and surf at Spiaggia Mugoni, and then learn about winemaking at Azienda Agricola Leda' d'Ittiri. On your second day here, see Off-Road Tours and then kick back and relax at La Pelosa Beach.

In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
Head to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and La Cantina del Lagheefor plenty of shopping. Get a sense of the local culture at Duomo di Milano and Basilica di San Zeno Maggiore. Get out of town with these interesting Milan side-trips: Spiaggia Tranquilla (in Dorio), Chiesa di S. Leonardo (in Dervio) and Castello di Vezio (in Vezio). There's much more to do: take a stroll through Piazza delle Erbe, pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Santa Anastasia, examine the collection at Casa di Giulietta, and see the grandeur of opera at Arena di Verona.

Traveling by flight from Alghero to Milan takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of ferry and train. While traveling from Alghero, expect slightly colder days and about the same nights in Milan, ranging from highs of 28°C to lows of 16°C.
