You'll get in some beach time at La Jolla Cove and Mission Beach Park. Museum-lovers will appreciate USS Midway Museum and Mingei International Museum. Step out of San Diego to go to Alpine and see Lions, Tigers & Bears, which is approximately 58 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: tour the pleasant surroundings at Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, see the interesting displays at Timken Museum of Art, step aboard Maritime Museum of San Diego, and kick back and relax at Children's Pool.
