Built on seven hills, Lisbon has experienced a renaissance in recent years, making it the cultural star of Portugal.
When in Lisbon, make a side trip to see Quinta da Regaleira in Sintra, approximately 36 minutes away. There's lots more to do: make a trip to Belém Tower, appreciate the history behind Padrao dos Descobrimentos, admire nature's wide array of creatures at Lisbon Oceanarium, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mosteiro dos Jeronimos.

Sao Paulo, Brazil to Lisbon is an approximately 14-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 3 hours traveling from Sao Paulo to Lisbon. Expect little chillier temperatures when traveling from Sao Paulo in April; daily highs in Lisbon reach 24°C and lows reach 13°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Mon) so you can travel to Paris.

Traveling from Paris in April, expect nights in Brussels to be about the same, around 4°C, while days are slightly colder, around 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 16th (Thu) so you can take a train to Amsterdam.
