A lively coastal city, Santos has become known for its sea, soccer, and sand.
Start off your visit on the 4th (Fri): take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Monte Serrat, get engrossed in the history at Coffee Museum, then see the interesting displays at Museu Pele, and finally take in nature's colorful creations at Orchid Garden. Here are some ideas for day two: take in nature's colorful creations at Orla e Jardins da Praia de Santos, then kick back and relax at Gonzaga Beach, then meet the residents at Municipal Aquarium of Santos, and finally pause for some photo ops at Praca da Independencia.

Sao Paulo to Santos is an approximately 1.5-hour car ride. You can also take a bus. In September, daily temperatures in Santos can reach 28°C, while at night they dip to 19°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Sat) so you can take a bus to Guaruja.

Less than 100 km (60 mi) from Sao Paolo, the busy beach town of Guaruja remains unconditionally devoted to tourism, charming visitors with more than 20 well-developed beaches tailor-made for surfing, swimming, and soaking up the sun.
Start off your visit on the 6th (Sun): kick back and relax at Pitangueiras beach, then take in the pleasant sights at Morro do Maluf, and then stroll through Enseada Beach.
