The capital of the state of Sergipe, Aracaju has developed a reputation as one of the most active, modern, and healthiest cities in the country.

Petrolina

Originally built as a sister city to neighboring Juazeiro, Petrolina has grown to become Pernambuco’s largest municipality.
Change things up with a short trip to Barragem de Sobradinho in Sobradinho (about 48 minutes away). There's lots more to do: contemplate the waterfront views at Rio Sao Francisco, step off the mainland to explore Massangano Island, pause for some serene contemplation at Church of Nossa Senhora Rainha dos Anjos Matriz, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Catedral - Igreja Sagrado Coracao de Jesus.
