Built on seven hills, Lisbon has experienced a renaissance in recent years, making it the cultural star of Portugal.

Obidos

Striking views of the Estremadura area and a famous medieval castle gave Obidos the name of Wedding Present Town.
Venture out of the city with trips to Nazare (Forte de Sao Miguel, Church of Nossa Senhora da Nazaré, &more). And it doesn't end there: make a trip to Obidos Village, step into the grandiose world of Castelo de Óbidos, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Igreja de Santa Maria, and explore the activities along Lagoa de Obidos.

Called "Oporto" by many, the city of Porto along the Duoro River lent the country and Port wine their names. Portugal's second-largest metropolis dates back to the 4th century, representing both a rich cultural past and industrial present through its architecture and style.
Dedicate the 9th (Sat) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. The adventure continues: snap pictures at Ponte de Dom Luis I, learn the secrets of beer at a beer tour and tasting, look for gifts at Livraria Lello, and walk around Museu Serralves.

Portimao

Originally a small fishing village, Portimão today serves as one of the most populated towns in the Algarve and also a favorite spot for sailing.
