St. John's Co-Cathedral and Mnajdra are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Take a break from the city and head to Scuba & Snorkeling and Blue Grotto (Il-Hnejja). Step out of Valletta to go to Ggantija and see Ggantija Megalithic Temples, which is approximately 1h 35 min away. There's lots more to do: get to know the fascinating history of Mdina Old City, brush up on your military savvy at Fort Rinella, contemplate the long history of Palazzo Falson Historic House Museum, and browse the exhibits of Fort St Elmo - National War Museum.

Start off your visit on the 5th (Wed): delve into the distant past at Parco Archeologico della Neapolis, then step off the mainland to explore Ortigia, and then pause for some serene contemplation at Syracuse Cathedral. Keep things going the next day: appreciate the extensive heritage of Centro Storico, then appreciate the extensive heritage of Monastero del San salvatore, then see the interesting displays at Mulino ad Acqua - Museo Cavallo d'Ispica, and finally get engrossed in the history at Museo Archeologico Regionale P.
