Formerly a sleepy little fishing town, Punta del Diablo has become a popular seaside getaway with a wealth of attractions natural and manmade.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Fortress of Santa Teresa and Santa Teresa National Park. Visit Playa de Punta del Diablo and Playa del Rivero for some beach relaxation. When in Punta del Diablo, make a side trip to see Fuerte de San Miguel in Chuy, approximately Chuy away. And it doesn't end there: stroll through Playa de Los Pescadores, stop by Paseo de los Artesanos, take in the views from Puente Colgante, and look for all kinds of wild species at Cerro Verde e Islas de la Coronilla.
