A modern, bustling city known for its beer brewery, Sapporo attracts millions of visitors with its Snow Festival, during which elaborate ice and snow sculptures are exhibited all over town.
Kids will enjoy Odori Park and Otaru Canal. Explore Sapporo's surroundings by going to Noboribetsu (Noboribetsu Marine Park Nixe & Jigokudani) and Hamada Marutome Fruits Gaden (in Sobetsu-cho). Sao Paulo, Brazil to Sapporo is an approximately 30-hour flight. Traveling from Sao Paulo to Sapporo, you'll lose 12 hours due to the time zone difference. While traveling from Sao Paulo, expect slightly colder days and about the same nights in Sapporo, ranging from highs of 20°C to lows of 19°C. Kanazawa

An old castle town largely unspoiled during World War II, Kanazawa features well-preserved architecture spread across a range of districts.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Kanazawa: Shirakawa-mura (Shirakawago Tajimake Yosan Sericulture Museum, Shirakawago Gassho Zukuri Minkaen, &more). Fly from Sapporo to Kanazawa in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of train and ferry. When traveling from Sapporo in July, plan for a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Kanazawa: temperatures range from 34°C by day to 26°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 6th (Tue) early enough to go by car to Kyoto.
