The largest town on the Lofoten Islands, Svolvaer serves as a good base from which to launch your tour of the archipelago.

Alta is the most populated municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Nature & Wildlife Tours and Tirpitz Museum.
