With the dramatic Carpathian Mountains as backdrop, Brasov is the largest city in a region of mountain resorts.
Head to La Cabane Aux Images and Luado Chocolatefor plenty of shopping. Your inner history buff will appreciate Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle) and Peles Castle. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Brasov: Pensiunea Rhein (in Azuga) and La Prapastii Zarnesti (in Zarnesti). There's still lots to do: hit the slopes at Poiana Brasov, wander the streets of Brasov Historical Center, step into the grandiose world of Rasnov Citadel, and take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mount Tampa.

For shopping fun, head to Framm's or Erasmus Bucherkaffee. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Biserica Horezu and The Lower Town of Sibiu (orasul de jos). You'll find plenty of places to visit near Sibiu: Transfagarasan Highway (in Curtea de Arges), Trovanti Museum Natural Reserve (in Costesti) and Moldoveanu Peak (in Fagaras). There's still lots to do: take a stroll through Old Town, take in the awesome beauty at Fagaras Mountains, contemplate the long history of Passage of Stairs, and don't miss a visit to Church of Saint Francis.
