Foz do Iguacu

Land of the Waterfalls

A gateway to the world-renowned Iguacu Falls, which spectacularly divide Brazil and Argentina, the modern, high-rise city of Foz do Iguacu can't help but play second fiddle to the natural wonder in its vicinity.
On the 27th (Thu), examine the collection at Museu de Cera Dreamland, then admire the sheer force of Iguazu Falls, and then stop by Orquidario Vale Das Orquideas. Here are some ideas for day two: see human ingenuity at work at Itaipu Dam, take in the spiritual surroundings of Buddhist Temple, buy something for everyone on your list at Shopping Mercosul, then learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Parque das Aves Bird Park, and finally see the world from above with a helicopter tour.
