Granada boasts numerous well-preserved examples of exquisite Moorish architecture, not the least of which is the Alhambra, an ancient citadel and royal palace.
Relax by the water at Playa de la Alberquilla and Playa de la Cala el Canuelo. Museum-lovers will get to explore Monasterio de la Concepcion and Casa de Castril. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Granada: Natural Park Sierra de Cazorla (in Cazorla) and Acantilados de Maro Cerro Gordo (in Nerja). Spend the 29th (Mon) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. The adventure continues: step into the grandiose world of Alhambra, appreciate the extensive heritage of Mirador de San Nicolas, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilica de San Juan de Dios, and take in nature's colorful creations at Generalife.

Called "Oporto" by many, the city of Porto along the Duoro River lent the country and Port wine their names. Portugal's second-largest metropolis dates back to the 4th century, representing both a rich cultural past and industrial present through its architecture and style.
Take a break from the city and head to Nature & Wildlife Tours and Praia do Homem do Leme. Porto Cathedral (Se Catedral) and Torre dos Clerigos are good opportunities to explore the local culture.
