The isolated hamlet of Cabo Polonio, part of Uruguay's remote Rocha province, offers a different take on a South American beach holiday.
We've included these beaches for you: Beaches at Cabo Polonio and Playa Los Botes. Step out of the city life by going to Parque Nacional de Cabo Polonio and Medanos de la Barra de Valizas. When in Cabo Polonio, make a side trip to see Faro Cabo Santa Maria in La Paloma, approximately La Paloma away. Formerly a sleepy little fishing town, Punta del Diablo has become a popular seaside getaway with a wealth of attractions natural and manmade.
Start off your visit on the 14th (Fri): kick back and relax at Playa de la Viuda, tour the pleasant surroundings at Playa de Los Pescadores, and then appreciate the history behind Faro Sandra Monumento A Artigas.
