Porto Seguro

In a sense, Porto Seguro is where Brazil as a country began, marking the spot where Portuguese explorers first arrived in the 16th century.
We've included these beaches for you: Praia do Espelho and Muta Beach. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Quadrado and Nossa Senhora da Ajuda Church. There's still lots to do: get to know the fascinating history of Centro Historico, get engrossed in the history at Ilha dos Aquarios, kick back and relax at Coroa Vermelha Beach, and take in the waterfront at Passarela do Descobrimento.

For more things to do, where to stay, traveler tips, and more tourist information, you can read our Porto Seguro trip planner .

In March, daily temperatures in Porto Seguro can reach 34°C, while at night they dip to 26°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Wed) to allow enough time to travel back home.
