One of the best bases for ecotourism in the Serra Gaúcha area, the old town of Canela charms visitors with quaint architecture and a laid-back atmosphere.
You've now added Castelinho Caracol to your itinerary. Kick off your visit on the 24th (Sun): pause for some serene contemplation at Catedral de Pedra, then see the interesting displays at Mundo a Vapor, then admire the sheer force of Caracol State Park, and finally examine the collection at Castelinho Caracol.
