The booming city of Bucharest is a sophisticated metropolis with a high contrast of old- and new-world architecture.
On the 20th (Sun), stroll around Herăstrău Park and then admire the landmark architecture of Muzeul National al Satului "Dimitrie Gusti".

Kick off your visit on the 21st (Mon): appreciate the extensive heritage of Citadel of Alba Iulia, then examine the collection at Landeskirchliches Museum der Evangelischen Kirche, and then don't miss a visit to Big Square (Piata Mare). On the 22nd (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: see the interesting displays at ASTRA Museum, then take an in-depth tour of Emil Sigerus Museum of Saxon Ethnography and Folk Art, then take in the views from Bridge of Lies, and finally admire the striking features of Turnul Sfatului (The Tower of the Council).

Do a combination of shuttle and flight from Bucharest to Sibiu in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. While traveling from Bucharest, expect slightly colder days and about the same nights in Sibiu, ranging from highs of 26°C to lows of 11°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Wed) to allow enough time to take a bus to Brasov.

With the dramatic Carpathian Mountains as backdrop, Brasov is the largest city in a region of mountain resorts.
Venture out of the city with trips to Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle) (in Bran) and Sinaia (Peles Castle & Sinaia Monastery). There's much more to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Black Church (Biserica Neagra), appreciate the extensive heritage of Brasov Historical Center, pause for some serene contemplation at Franciscan Church, and fly down the slopes at Poiana Brasov.
