Start off your visit on the 5th (Wed): examine the collection at Loch Ness Centre & Exhibition, steep yourself in history at Fort George, then take in nature's colorful creations at Cawdor Castle, and finally take in the history at Culloden Battlefield.

Porto, Portugal to Inverness is an approximately 8.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or drive. Plan for slightly colder temperatures traveling from Porto in June, with highs in Inverness at 19°C and lows at 9°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Wed) to allow time to travel to Wick.
