The booming city of Bucharest is a sophisticated metropolis with a high contrast of old- and new-world architecture.
Start off your visit on the 1st (Fri): explore the world behind art at The National Museum of Art of Romania, then learn more about the world around you at Grigore Antipa National Museum of Natural History, then examine the collection at Ceausescu Mansion, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Patriarchal Cathedral. Take a bus from Brasov to Sibiu in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a train. In May, plan for daily highs up to 24°C, and evening lows to 10°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 6th (Wed) so you can go by car to Cluj-Napoca.
