They don't call Fortaleza "Brazilian Miami" for nothing.
Get in touch with nature at Praia de Futuro and Porto das Dunas Beach. Step out of Fortaleza to go to Aquiraz and see Beach Park, which is approximately 46 minutes away. There's much more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Iracema Beach, explore and take pictures at Arena Castelao, and take advantage of the amenities at Crocobeach.

You can drive from Canoa Quebrada to Fortaleza in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Expect slightly colder weather when traveling from Canoa Quebrada in July: highs in Fortaleza hover around 34°C, while lows dip to 27°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Sun) to allow enough time to take a shuttle to Jericoacoara.
