  • We visited in February on a last minute decision and we were not disappointed. Free parking near it which is brilliant. The grounds the house is set on are beautiful, although they are quite small so doesn’t take too long to walk around. You are able to walk around the basement of the house which has lots of interesting stories and a banquet set up with different foods they used to eat which was an eye opener. When you go into the main entrance of the house, we were greeted by a lovely lady who’s knowledge of the house was outstanding and set the scene for what to look out for in each room we entered upstairs. The house is very beautiful and grand from both outside and in. Definitely something to visit and learn the history about ham house. Also the cafe on site does the most amazing cream tea which you can’t miss out on !!
