  • Free and beautiful. That's all. Just kidding. I have a bit more to say. Per usual. So why am I writing a review of a public library when I don't live in Boston? It's beautiful. Tourists of Boston, you...  more »
  • The name is just a library, but from the ancient Greece to the modern thinkers, there is a relief inscribed with the name, the impression of the accumulation of knowledge in the school city Boston. This facility is located in front of Trinity Church, and I think you can see that Boston has a rooted culture that emphasizes human intelligence. It is an age when it is possible to see anything on the internet now, but I cannot help admire the fact of building a public library in the center of these downtown when thinking about the age. Because I only looked at the walk in the morning on this day, unfortunately I did not get inside, but I could ask the appearance of the inside from the outside, I was able to feel the Boston likeness just look at the front gate above all.

  • We went for the 2 PM tour on Sunday. The tour guide Tom was amazing and the hour went by just like that. We learned a lot about the library and understood the art and architecture better. He even took us outdoors and showed corner stone etc. I highly recommend taking a tour here to better appreciate the library. The library itself is massive. The old part of the building is more like an art museum than a library. Amazing murals and paintings. I loved the staircase area with its golden color marble and golden sunlight filtering through the glass windows. Looked heavenly. The courtyard is a good peaceful oasis from the busy city outside. We also wanted to get a library card but there was no one at the services desk. We waited half an hour and eventually left. Well, next time.
  • This is the first public library in the USA. And it’s the most architecturally impressive American public library that I have been to. Definitely worth a visit. Walking inside the building and into the courtyard reminds me of visiting a museum in Europe.
