Brooklyn Heights Promenade, Brooklyn

4.8
Featured in classic New York films like Annie Hall and Moonstruck, Brooklyn Heights Promenade offers beautiful views of the East River and Statue of Liberty in Brooklyn’s oldest neighborhood. Brooklyn Heights is the Brooklyn borough's first Historic Preservation District. Its promenade, which opened to the public in 1950, features wooden benches to take in the Manhattan skyline, scenic greenery and flowers to contrast with the city’s concrete structures, and playgrounds for children to enjoy. Take a jog or romantic stroll down the promenade on your way to Brooklyn Bridge Park or before exploring the adjacent neighborhood’s brownstone-lined streets. • Enjoyed walking here and seeing the Manhattan skyline. The afternoon is not a good time to be here, as the sun is in front of you making it hard to enjoy the view.  more »
  • Gorgeous views of the NYC skyline. Springtime is my favorite time in the city. need a few more small place to eat or drink, though.  more »

  • The Promenade has the most spectacular, and most romantic, panorama of Manhattan and the harbor layed out before it. At this point in my life, it's an old and dear acquaintance, but one that I'm always eager to introduce a new boyfriend to. Decent food and drinks nearby, and a fun place to make out....
  • Wonderful spot in the city. One of the best views of Manhattan. Incredibly romantic place to amble along or relax on a bench. Considering the promenade is ultimately just a clever way to hide the ugly Brooklyn-Queens Expressway underneath, it makes the space that much more special.
