  • Start by wearing shoes that you will walk quite a lot, the rooms of the animal assemblies are spectacular, you can not miss, the area of fossils is also very good, here is an area where they filmed the movie Jurassic World in it They find a space of extinctas species in the last eras as well as fossils and specimens extracted from the Brea tar pits and other places of the state of California, there is a fossil of mamuth that this huge and a polar bear that makes incapie in the global warming , passing this one finds the room of the dinosaurs, here you will find fossils of birds, heads of Triceratops, T-Rex, Velociraptor and other dinosaurs, then continues the area of the aquatic dinosaurs where is hung a plesiosaurs and other species of water, By the main entrance there is a spectacular assembly of a complete body fosilisado of T-Rex next to a Triceratops (check it in my photos), throughout your journey you will find specimens, there is a giant fish where they have preserved a shark "Big Mouth" One of the rarest in the world also a fish "Oarfish" one of the longest and unknown, so also do not forget to visit the area of bird preservation, many hours of fun.

  • We spent quite a few hours looking around the museum which was wonderful. The staff were helpful if you asked them anything. We also saw the Live Butterfly Santuary. Really enjoyable time.  more »

  • One of the cities treasures! Worth every cent, excellent exhibits, interactive and easy to navigate. For an additional $6 you can see the Oceans 3D (totally worth it) and Antarctic Dinosaurs (interesting but somewhat lacking). There's a small cafeteria with abundant indoor/outdoor seating. To be honest I could write a book on this place and still wouldn't do it justice. I suggest wear comfortable shoes, take your time and enjoy!
  • One of my all time favorite places in the world. I've been a member for the last few years but a fan since I've been 5. My son is the second generation museum enthusiast and just like dad amazed. The exhibits are great with much information to ingest The live shows are one a kind and so is the staff. It's a very intimate museum that makes you feel engaged at every stop. I seem to always find something new to learn and see, even though I've been here over a 100 times. I love you Natural History Museum of Los Angeles
