  • A great stop on the way to airport or if you just want to “escape” the city without actually leaving the city. This wildlife reserve dispels the math that urban areas cannot incorporate nature. There are numerous hiking trails and areas to observe the creek as well as even in the area for canoes. There are paved paths in addition to unpaved paths for a more authentic nature immersion experience.
  • One of the best areas I've been to around Philly. It is interesting how they are smack dab in the middle of a very populated area, yet you feel like you are the only one around listening to the birds. So much nature to explore and the Friends of John Heinz have tons of educational programs for kids. Overall an amazing park.
