Both a theme park and a zoo, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay offers a mixture of roller-coaster rides, live shows, dining, shopping, and interactive activities with animals. Opened in 1959 with an African theme, the park now shelters nearly 12,000 animals, spread over 130 hectares (330 acres). You can choose to be an animal keeper for a day or take guided, behind-the-scenes tours of the animal care center, where you can learn how the park's veterinary staff cares for the zoo's residents. The theme park also offers ziplines and water rides. Take advantage of considerable savings by booking your tickets online, and choose from a range of dining and park experiences. I wanted all the reviews i had read to be wrong. They overall were not. We spent the last day in FL trying to use our city pass admittance. It was a Saturday (today) so we knew lines would be a bit... more »

This is such a fantastic place for families and anyone looking to have a good time with people that they love. I’ve been here several times now and I’m never disappointed! Most especially today… It was very rainy on and off all day and when we arrived at the park they went out of their way to refund our upgraded package because many of the things we would want to do weren’t going to be available to us. They allowed us to get the deepest discounts possible on the things we did get to do that we were purchasing all a cart and saved us so much money. Instead of caring about making the most money and being greedy, they put our needs and our happiness above their bottom dollar. I cannot express how nice it is to go somewhere where they seem to genuinely care if you’re having a good time and you’re happy. I will come back again and do that upgraded experience because they have left me feeling like this is a place where my money should be spent. I also adore all of the animal conservation that they do and the fantastic rides! Also, the smokehouse is the best value for a meal I’ve ever had at a theme park. This is a huge recommend for me… If you want to have a good time in Tampa, come to Busch Gardens!

Had a great time here. The Christmas Town display was awesome. A lot of planning had to go into it by Busch Gardens to be so great. The train ride at night was fun. Been to the park many times in daytime but the night time visit was great. The light show was top notch. Will be going back.
