Access to Praia de Morro Branco is along a gravel road just before descending the hill to reach the beach filled with reddish brown and multi-colored sands that contrast with the azure colored sea. You can rent and take lessons from locals offering buggy rides, four-wheelers, microlight flights, and jangada (boat) rides to local attractions. You can wade across the Rio Chorro at low tide at the far side of the beach, or take a small personal-powered ferry to other beach bars, called barracas. This beach is a favorite among locals as well as kitesurfers. Locals show you their handicrafts and arts in hopes that you will by their works, but many of their creations are highly creative in nature. Huge dunes and jagged cliffs dot the shoreline with magnificent and picturesque landscapes that are child-friendly due to the lack of large tourist crowds.
