To reach Prainha Beach, you have to navigate along a forest trail but the 30-minute trek is more than worth it for the beautiful beach at the end and the nature that you explore on your way. On arrival at the beach, you will be awestruck by the vast amount of space, not to mention the soft sand and bright blue water. Part of the appeal is certainly the lack of infrastructure; there are no gaudy umbrellas and only one bar serving refreshments. The grilled cheese on a stick is a popular choice. If you’re the surfing type, make sure you bring a board, or simply enjoy some relaxing in the sun away from the city crowds. On your way back to civilization, you can veer off the trail to wash the salt from your body in one of the natural waterfalls.
