Enjoy the vistas and some fresh air at Pedra Bonita, a popular spot in Tijuca National Park, sandwiched between Pedra de Gavea hills and Sao Conrado and Tijuca. Follow a 1.5 km (1 mi) uphill trail for about 40 minutes; once at the top, you'll take in some of the most privileged views of Rio de Janeiro. Towering above Tijuca Park's forest at 696 m (2,283 ft), this spot draws scores of hang gliders. Head to the top of the gliding ramp for a restroom and a small bar.
