Beautiful building and amazing food. Loved my time here - had a brilliant cod pastel in one of the upstairs cafes and a very tasty fruit juice. Which based on the fruit sold there should be expected - as a foreigner the variety and taste of what was on offer at the stalls was incredible. I enjoyed the boisterous sales techniques by the merchants and the endless samples of fruit - not the cheapest but thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the fruit I bought.

I don't know why this place is so special. it is just regular market people go to buy food and drink. it is like farmer's market vibe. there are bunch of restaurants inside the market but i don't see anything special about these restaurants. market itself is very crowed. if you are tourist, you might want to do quick walk around, but this is not place you want to spend most of day on.
