Vina El Principal, Pirque

Beautifully maintained, this is a great tour near Santiago. If you have a few hours, you can go there by subway and then a bus for just a few pesos instead of paying tons of money on taxi (why spend worth of 3 good wine bottles on taxi?) The wine quality is good to explore, more premium than other highly commercialized wineries in Chile. It is not too crowded and by being a small property you get a better attention too.

Very enjoyable. Christian was fantastic and a very knowledgeable and easy going guide. The vineyard is beautiful and you get some amazing views of the valley on the tour. The tour was intimate (it was just two of us) and well put together (you get three delicious wines). We were particularly lucky to go during harvest season and got to see it all in operation. It was however very expensive, especially considering that you have to travel some distance to get there. 5-stars but for the price. I would say however that it is worth the trip because you avoid large crowds and don't feel rushed at all.
