The last of the original Seven Wonders of the World, Pyramids of Giza include a complex of World Heritage-listed ancient monuments, including the Great Pyramid. Dating back to around 2560 BCE, the pyramids were built by thousands of workers under the command of successive pharaohs, with teams of men carving millions of stone blocks at nearby quarries, transporting them to the site, then lifting them into position. The pyramids were used as tombs for the pharaohs, with interior temples, chambers, and galleries filled with offerings. The three main pyramids testify to the power of the pharaohs and the ingenuity of the ancient Egyptians--they have also inspired countless artists, architects, and rulers since their construction. Today I visited one of the world wonders, the “Great” Pyramids of Giza. The way the poor dehydrated, starving horses and camels are being treated is a nightmare. I witnessed a sad excuse of a man...

The pyramids themselves are amazing to see. Great place to get some amazing photos. That said,, the entire place is a huge tourist trap and you need to go in with that attitude and that everyone is looking for $ even the site workers. Each step of the way they ask for $ and for you to take care of them. They are helpful and sly/pushy with helping you take photos however they expect $ for it. I recommend eating, drinking and using the restroom before hand. You can bring your own water. The hose and buggy rides are a nice way to limit walking in the sun, however animal lovers beware as they aren't and they don't spare the whip. The ATV rides outside the entrance are OK, however the equipment is junk and worn out..bent axles and all. They take you through basically a sewer to get to the desert. The desert had nice views but again a tourist trap as they have people staged out there with camels to take pictures with you and once again they expect $ whether you get on the camels or not. Overall, great place to get pictures and see one of the 7 wonders of the world, but go in with the right expectations!
