Villa di Pollio Felice - Bagni della Regina Giovanna
Search out the little-known beautiful swimming hole at Villa di Pollio Felice - Bagni della Regina Giovanna, a natural pool of clear water hidden next to the ancient ruins of a Roman villa. The pool's location is a little difficult to find, but ask the locals for directions and watch for a narrow cobblestone sidewalk. The path leads you to the site, where a hole in the rocks lets the sea fill the pool with turquoise water. Swimming here is allowed and encouraged; on a hot day the cold water feels particularly refreshing. Extend your visit by renting a boat at Sorrento and touring the area. You can even go fishing and keep the day's catch for lunch. Lovely little find. Easy enough to walk to from Sorrento. Nice spot down by the water but also space to sun bath above. Only bit is no public toilets. Worth a visit.

Nice place to have a swim and look at the sea sitting on the rocks. Parking at 15 minutes walking distance, costs 2 euro per hour to be paid in cash. Went on a Saturday so it was pretty crowded but still more than enough space to have a swim.

Interesting promontory with some Roman remains. I went mainly for the views. Quite rough under foot but plenty of warning signs. Little grotto. For me it was worth the walk from Sorrento.
