The largest cathedral in the Americas, Metropolitan Cathedral (Catedral Metropolitana) has a rich, diverse history, beginning with its chosen location on a former Aztec sacred precinct. As you walk the cathedral’s four vast interior domes. filled with five naves and 14 chapels, you will be walking through three centuries of construction, starting in 1567 and finally ending in 1813. • We went here on our private tour in place of Guadeloupe. It is grand and beautiful and well worth seeing. Also the surrounding square is a sight as well.

  • It's a very nice monument with free entrance in the historical district of Mexico city. It's definitely worth visiting if you are in the city. There are many nice monuments around the city. You should definitely walk around the right side of the cathedral and see the local shamans, in original costumes, doing cleansing rituals. It is an experience!
  • This place is a must if you are in Mexico City's downtown. So much history, art and beautiful architecture to witness. You can pay 10 pesos for extra attractions inside, they are worth it, as their beauty is mesmerizing. They have lots of extra safety measures during the pandemic, which makes it a safe place to visit.
